In addition, at IBACMA, we have the collaboration of hand therapists who perform custom braces with thermoplastic material of low temperature, very important in certain processes of recovery of various hand injuries. The functions of these splints are: prevent deformities, immobilize or stabilize a joint to promote its function. Passive splinters are used, aimed at maintaining a position of immobility and / or correcting deformities, and dynamic splints, which facilitate joint movement and the action of a weak muscle.
